END ZONE CELEBRATION

For over a decade, FBC has hosted the END ZONE after-game celebration in the fellowship hall following after all regular season, home varsity football games. The aim is to provide a safe place for teenagers to hang out after the game. We provide free pizza, hotdogs, drinks, desserts, and great snacks! We consider the END ZONE a community effort since other churches and friends of the church can donate food, supplies or funds to support the effort. Thank you to those of you who do! The END ZONE includes upbeat music, ping pong, foosball, cornhole, playing cards, board games, and more for the kids. Best of all, there is no cost to anyone. Everything is free!

Adults from the church volunteer to cook, serve, and chaperone the event. We have some of the best cooks around. Doors to the END ZONE open about 8:30 p.m., and ends promptly at 11:00 p.m.. Ann Johnson, our student ministry director welcomes all who take part.

What to expect: Upon entering the fellowship hall, students are requested to sign-in, which provides a head-count for the event. Students then proceed to the buffet-style-line where food is served. They can sit wherever and with whomever they want. Some eat and leave immediately, while others stay and play games and of course, text on their phones until the event closes at 11:00. Kids can eat until they are full. We usually have several football players, cheerleaders and band members stop over and take part, as well. The END ZONE celebration typically has between 125-150 students from Ravenswood attend. While at the END ZONE, teens enjoy upbeat music.

FBC is proud to offer this ministry outreach opportunity to families in our area, because our church wants to extend a safe place for kids after the game, to show how much care about them. We do take photos during the event that are shared online. If you have questions abut the END ZONE, call the church office.
