Veterans Sunday 2019

First Baptist Church held their annual Veterans Day Sunday service on November 10, 2019. Former PFC Jessica Lynch was the featured speaker. Jessica is the recipient of the Bronze Star, POW, and Purple Heart medals. She spoke to the church about the power of prayer and how she believed prayer helped her endure the 20 plus surgeries that she had, as well as the trauma she experienced overseas. Fourteen veterans including one active duty solider was honored in the special Sunday service. Jessica stayed and spent time meeting with veterans at a reception following the service.

Jessica Lynch smiles as she receives a warm welcome from the church. Her humbleness and love for veterans was evident in her message about the power of prayer.
